OVERVIEW  
Education plays an integral role in creating an inclusive workplace culture where all employees feel safe and respected, and have equal opportunities to advance and thrive. This self-paced online course helps participants understand the history, terms, and phrases associated with LGBTQ2+ identities, and appreciate the challenges and inequities employees who identify as LGBTQ2+ may face at work. The objective is to lay the foundation for open communication and foster an environment where employees who identify as LGBTQ2+ feel supported and where co-workers are strong allies. 
PARTICIPANTS WILL LEARN:
- The benefits of LGBTQ2+ inclusion in the workplace, as well as the personal and organizational costs of not being inclusive. 
 - The barriers, challenges, and injustices faced by those who identify as LGBTQ2+ in Canada and abroad, and the laws and personal protections currently in place in Canada.
 -  Respectful terms and language related to LGBTQ2+ communities and individuals who identify as LGBTQ2+.
 - How to support an inclusive workplace and be an ally to coworkers who identify as LGBTQ2+. 
 
ABOUT THE LEARNING EXPERIENCE
- Immediate access. Participants can start training right away and can download a Certificate of Completion as soon as they pass mandatory testing. 
 - Self-paced. Individual learners move through the material at a pace that matches their learning style and prior knowledge of the topic.
