Motorcycle Refresher Course

The “Motorcycle Refresher Course” is designed for individuals who have been away from riding for awhile and would like to refine their skills, or took the novice course and want to build up their confidence. 

The course will include such things as slow speed and high speed manoeuvres, curves and emergency collision avoidance techniques.  You can use your own motorcycle or, for an extra fee, you can use one of ours.

All students require:

  • Their own motorcycle OR rent one from Safety Services Nova Scotia
  • Proper riding gear (DOT motorcycle helmet, gloves, jacket, jean (or equivalent & boots)
  • Current motorcycle license
  • Proof of insurance, registration, and current Motor Vehicle Inspection sticker
  • Pass our technical inspection
  • A desire to learn.

Cost: $165
Bike Rental: $55 (+$165)

An administration fee of $30 will be charged on cancellations. No refund will be issued 48 hours prior to the course date. Individuals who register and fail to attend or fail to complete the program will not be eligible for refund.

-  If you wish to use one of our bikes, register online, then call to reserve the bike
-  If you are using a motorcycle that is not registered to you please bring written authorization from the registered owner.

Motorcycle Advanced Course

Experience is not a substitute for professional training. The “Advanced Rider Course” will build your riding skills and reduce your risks through self discovery with professional coaching.

The course is designed to help the experienced rider master fundamental control techniques, refine and extend manoeuvring skills and improve emergency response performance. It will test your limits of motorcycling while improving your skills. The course includes classroom discussion, riding, plus an “on-road” portion. Instructors provide students with technical instruction, coaching and valuable feedback.  If you normally ride with a passenger, bring your passenger with you.
